This workshop imparts how to incorporate elegant inlay hardcover bookbinding using maps, photographs, and other found objects. Whether you're a novice or advanced bookbinders, you'll learn the process of binding and casing a hardcover book that can be used for journaling or sketching. Have a favorite photograph, pressed leaf, fabric scrap or treasured memento inset within the cover of your one-of-a-kind journal and create a presentation worthy gift for a loved one or a personalized keepsake. The focus of the workshop will be building upon standard, hard cover bookbinding practices and creating depth, textural interest, and harmonizing mixed mediums.
