The Duck Store Stewardship

Acting on our values.

We consider it a privilege to serve and invest in where we live and grow.

The four areas we focus on are: The University of Oregon, our communities, our employees and our efforts toward social responsibility.

Ducks Serving Ducks Since 1920.

Our relationship with the students, faculty and staff of the University of Oregon is at the core of everything we do. With a board comprised of university members, we are more than just an academic retailer; we are the original university store.

The Giving Mug

Early in 2012, several team members at The Duck Store began talking about how we, as an organization, could make a lasting contribution to University of Oregon.

The Duck Store donates hundreds of books each year to Books for Africa. Like us, they believe that education is the “great equalizer in the world.”

Green Tip

Even 100% biodegradable products aren’t truly sustainable if they end up in a landfill. Modern landfills are designed to prevent oxygen from getting to garbage and, thus, to keep potentially toxic materials from breaking down into the soil. Unfortunately, this means that safe, biodegradable items can’t break down either. Explore your options for reusing and recycling.

Jostens Elements Collection

The Duck Store increasingly has the opportunity to work with environmentally conscious vendors. Jostens—famous for their class rings, yearbooks and regalia—is an example of a company that believes “it is our obligation to leave this world better than we found it.”
