Tools of the Trade Artist Profiles: Don Burgess

Don Burgess, a watercolor painter, began painting in the 1940s after being introduced by a family friend. Though he has not received any formal art education, he has worked with Jeanne Hammond-Elliott whom he praises as a “wonderful realistic watercolorist,” and is a member of the Emerald Art Center.

The retiree uses Daniel Smith and M.Graham to create his Southwest Red Rock Country inspired pieces.
